The Mare Nero watch by ENZO MECHANA is a very limited edition model with only 5 examples having been manufactured, handmade by Enzo Mechana himself in partnership with us at WatchObsession and sold exclusively on our website. It is the perfect divers watch addition to any collection with its limited availability!
Each watch is uniquely numbered from 1 to 5 with each watch coming with a package that includes uniquely numbered items to match the watch they come with.
What makes Mare Nero tick? At the heart of the watch is a ETA2892 movement, it is recognised as one of the most popular and reliable movements in use for modern watch making. As a 47mm watch, it is on the larger size, but this does not make it any less comfortable to wear. In fact this is one of the smaller watches that Enzo Mechana has produced. The case is protected using era coating which protects it from everyday wear and tear along with the elements.
What else does the Mare Nero come with? In the package that comes with the watch, Enzo Mechana and ourselves have managed to get together a collection of items. Firstly the package comes with two straps, a Diaboliq Vintage Military strap, and an ISOfrane divers strap. The Diaboliq strap is hand made by Enzo Mechana, individually numbered to match the watch it comes with. The strap is made using leather from the 60's, hand distressed, and then waxed and oiled for added flexibility and water repellency.
Secondly each watch comes with a hand made Mare Nero nautically themed wooden watch box. The cases were made exclusively for Enzo Mechana by Timemachinist, in a working boatyard. They are made of American Black Walnut hardwood, and feature a real bronze porthole to view the watch through. Designed to be a sort of little boat to safely transport the watch around the world. The case also comes with a plaque marking its individual number in the 5 watches that have been made.
Thirdly each package comes with a leather Chilton watch pouch, with a limited edition number for each of the 5 watches.
And finally, each package comes with an outer box, made of black Perspex. They are made and designed exclusively for the package, in the United Kingdom by "Laser Nick" as we call him, of Artisans.co.uk.
